The paper contains the analysis of the poem „Zdravstvuy, May!“ by the Kazakh poet Sabit Mukanov, whose works in the critical works of the 1930s were compared to the Mayakovsky’s poetry. This poem was published four times in Russian before the first publication in Kazakh appeared, and the text in Russian was changing every time. In the paper, Russian-language text is commented in the context of the political situation of the 1930s.
